Daytona a Dream Come True for Ambassador Bailey

TOLEDO, Ohio – February 7, 2014 – The ARCA universe knows him as Chris Bailey, Jr., the racecar driver. Another very important group of people is getting to know him as Ambassador. Bailey, the 2010 ARCA Truck Series champion and current driver with Kimmel Racing in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, has been promoted to Official Ambassador to a very important cause – “The Littlest Heroes”, whose slogan is “Making a positive impact on young people living with cancer”.

Keeping Hope for Families

The Littlest Heroes helps families in Ohio get through cancer and beyond. Peter “PJ” Williams Jr. was a normal 11-year-old kid. He played basketball, went to school and had a family of brothers who he played sports with and enjoyed other fun kid stuff. Last year, something changed. While playing football,m he started limping. His Mother, Sophia Williams, took him to see a doctor. It wasn’t good news. There was an abnormal growth in his right leg. The tumor was cancerous.

Nonprofit Positively Impacts Families

Beautiful paintings line the walls of the Littlest Heroes headquarters on Aurora Road in Solon. They depict the friendships, struggles, hopes and dreams of pediatric cancer patients from all over Northeast Ohio, some as young as 2 years old. The thoughtful creations serve as a fitting symbol of one of the many areas of outreach that Littlest Heroes has offered to young cancer patients and their families for more than a decade.

The Littlest Heroes Teams Up with “Jeremy Cares”

The Littlest Heroes recently sponsored a Pre-Super Bowl Party at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital hosted by “Jeremy Cares” with food provided by Master Pizza. The party was held on the oncology floor to provide a break in routine for the kids during their in-patient stays. Unfortunately, the floor was full to capacity, but the kids had a great time and received the relief they so desperately need.
